Re: IES Dimensions
Hi Anders, The words "width" and "length" are not defined exactly. From a mathematical perspective “length” can be the longer side but must not. Sounds strange, isn´t it? Physicists are using “depth”, which is the distance from an observer position. The depth changes if the position of the observer ...

Re: IES Dimensions
Hi Anders, We hope we will exclude all possibility of doubt. The definition of LM-63-02 is: Width is the direction perpendicular to plane C0-C180. Length is measured parallel to C0-C180. Having a look at your example the dimmensios are imported correctly. DIALux is just using the word "width" and "l...

Re: IES Dimensions
Dear Anders, Thank you for your thoughts! This may be an interesting question for other users too. Of course DIALux works correct accordingly to the IESNA standard LM-63-02. Please do not get irritated by the words “width” and “length”. Not the words are standardized but the meaning. LM-63-02: Width...

Re: Accessing site area
Hi Alan, Thank you for the files! To import a DWG please make sure to import it always using the correct size. E.g. if you will select meters instead of millimeters the drawing will be 1000x smaller than intended. Furthermore we have noticed that the desired plan is much smaller than the complete DW...

Re: Dial LDT Editor IES to LDT Conversion Problem
Hi clesser, According to the conversation factor of a LDT files does an IES file have a value for the "multiplier". Please read following description from the IESNA specification. This field shall contain a number indicating the multiplying factor that shall be applied to all candela values in the f...

Re: Lichtstrom ändern iesna
Hi MJ78, vielen Dank für die Fragen! 1.)

Re: Dialux Evo to Revit
Dear Znall,
Relux is using a closed 3D model format. There is no direct interface to import the models from DIALux into Relux or the other way around.
Best regards
Fabian

Re: Documentation-Error "Failed to allocate"
Dear Marian, We suppose that the project is not created in the origin of the DIALux coordinate system (0,0,0). If the project is far away form the origin there may be issues to create the documentation for "Views" or other performance issues. To solve the behavior please move the floor element and a...

Re: Different results in IES and LDT files of the same light source
Dear Orkan, As explained above is the height of the luminaire housing not included in the IES file format. The manufacturer themself cannot enter the height in the IES format too. All information about the housing cannot be displayed. The IES file just describes the light emitting surface. This is a...

Re: Different results in IES and LDT files of the same light source
Dear Okan, This is a typical question caused by missing information of LDT or IES files. Please find below the explaination for the different calculation results. IES files contains no information about the luminiare housing or the position of the light center in the housing. To support those files ...
