Re: String lights

Dear Csuleiman,

What would you recommend for me to do?

Do you think using 3D objects as string lights and inserting an IES file manually inside the lamp would give me accurate enough results?

Many thanks,

String lights

Hello!

I am looking for an IES or LDT file for string lights and fairy lights.

Any suggestions where I can find them or how I can improvise them in my calculations?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi JWAL485,

Could you Please tell me where you found those string lights??

Your answer would be of huge help!!!!

3ds Object Import

Hi! Few questions about importing 3DS objects into Dialux 1) When I import a 3DS file, how do I make sure the scale is correct? 2) What is the maximum number of polygons or what is the maximum file size (in MB) that should be imported for smooth calculations? 3) Why is it that sometimes when materia...

Re: How to properly use LDT editor

Dear Csuleiman, Thank you for your reply! So I'm guessing if i just plug in the desired values it would give me accurate calculation results? Also, another issue I come across a lot but I don't know why is that in the 'room view" in 3D some objects I have inserted are not visible. So, I usually end ...

How to properly use LDT editor

Hi, I'm wondering how to use the LDT editor accurately. I wish to use a certain led strip but the .ldt file is 1000mm long. I would like to have one at 100mm to able to follow the curvature of a wall. So, for example. If my led strip is 1000mm, 2000lm, 15W, does this mean that the edited would be 10...

Re: Suspended Fixtures

Hey sonnypickett,

I find that if you download the LEDS C4 catalogue from the manufacturer tab, it will give you IES/LDT files with the actual shape of the luminaire fixture.

It is one of the few manufacturers that I have used that also provide the cables / wires for pendants!

I hope this helps!
