Re: Hardware

Re: Program crashing when opening a file

Hello, This seems to be a subsequent fault of an error deeper inside of the software. If you are using a very high resolution (4K+) and a graphics adapter with limited amount of VRAM (1GB or lower) or a virtual machine with a low limit of VRAM this can result in an out of memory situation in the ren...

Re: Dialux evo crashing on AMD Radeon graphic cards

Hello, To clarify this: 1. At the time of writing (my first answer in the other thread) the first developer did just receive a new laptop (with Intel CPU and AMD Vega GPU) this was the first hardware/driver we tested (a few days later) but were not able to reproduce the problem. 2. Regarding the oth...

Re: Dialux evo crashing on AMD Radeon graphic cards

Hello mesrop_lighting, I can understand your frustration concering this issue, but it is a bit more complex than buying a 300€ graphics card. You need to buy the hardware, assemble the system, set up a testing system (software)... sombody needs to debug the software...fix the issue...and than the fi...

Re: No importation option for dwg files in 8.1 version of dialux Evo.

Hello,

Of course you can import DWGs in evo 8.1. The option is called "plan" now because you can use DWGs or pixel graphics (JPG, BMP, ...).

Best regards

Re: Dialux evo 8.1 CAD viewport crashing

Hello, Thank you all for your reply. We are further investigating the issue. The Patch 2 should not contain any changes concerning the CAD. We wonder if you would be so kind and fill out the AMD feedback form for the graphics adapter driver: https://www.feedback.amd.com/se/5A1E27D21217CA3B If it is ...

Hallo Uwe,

Sie können den Text als Textur (Bild) auf das Schild legen. Der Text in evo dient nur zum Beschriften der Pläne/Ausgaben und wird bei der Beleuchtung nicht mitgerechnet.

Re: Dialux evo 8.1 CAD viewport crashing

Hello mesrop_lighting, I think you are completely right and your assumtion is probably correct: If I had to guess, I would say it is indeed an AMD graphics issue, some kind of a rare bug in Dialux code that perhaps only affects AMD Vega GPUs, but maybe not Nvidia, hence its so rare and unknown at th...

Re: Update view in documentation

Hi beta-pt, I think the issue only occurs with 2D views. It is because the 2D view images are SVG vector graphics which means that each and every line from DWGs, geometry, luminaires, ... will be transfered into the SVG. This may result in very large SVG graphics and might take some time. For a 3D v...
