not responding during calculation

Post by rriani » Tue Nov 19, 2019 9:48 am

I've encountered several not responding episodes when running calculation on a model (solid, imported 3ds file) into Dialux Evo 8.2 (64-bit). Calculation progress was fine until it reaches a certain point.
What could be causing this?

Hello rriani,

Please send us your evo project file for analysis. We would like to check the problem directly in this project.
It would be of help if you could send us the link to this topic so that we could better assign this issue. Our email address is 'Support@dial.de'.

Best regards,
DIAL Support Team

Hi, thank you for replying.
Prior to sending the model for analysis, kindly please inform the confidentiality of files sent to dialux support?
Thanks.

Dear rriani,

The 3D object is simply too complex for the calculation process in our DIALux evo software.

Every surface of a 3D model has to be calculated separately and if the sum of the 3D models (and the surfaces) are too complex for the calculation or the performance of DIALux, it could give a lack of internal main memory in our DIALux software. This is the reason why maybe the calculation interrupts or takes some hours or it gives problems with the calculation.

We would recommend every user to search for alternative 3DS objects with fewer surfaces. The key is to find a good compromise between a realistic visualization and a moderate quantity of surfaces.

Best regards,
Your DIAL Support Team
