huge PDF

Post by knjaz » Thu Dec 06, 2018 3:20 pm

How to decrease size of PDF-export files? I have 60 MB file for 10 rooms, which is not suitable for mailing to the client. How to decrease size and optimize file structure?
And another thing - is it possible to show room size on the room picture, as it was in Dialux 4?

Dear knjaz,

Usually DWG drawings inflate the PDF file very much. Furthermore, saved views or very complex 3DS objects can drastically affect the PDF size. Maybe you can check this in your project file. Unfortunately, there is no workaround we can offer for this except that you can delete the DWG files from the project or remove individual views.

Regarding the room size please have a look at the following thread: https://dxboard.dialux.com/viewtopic.ph ... on#p103988

Thank you Carmen.
What solution do we have against waiting for 20-30 min to make PDF report with DWG under-layout?
Is it same solution in such case - to delete PDF? Or I can turn DWG off in other way to fasten the process? (Just turning off showing in 2d/3d plans doesn't give a result in speed and performance...)

Dear knjaz,

As a rule, deleting the DWG before opening the documentation should be a possible solution. However, we would like to take a closer look at the performance problem in your project. Therefore we would like to ask you to send us the evo project file. Please include the link to this thread in the email so that we can assign the problem directly. Our email address is support@dial.de.

Best regards,
