Delete Imported Images

Post by username » Fri Oct 27, 2017 7:14 pm

I have imported some images to use in my report, but I have updated these images and no longer need the old versions. I'm having trouble to delete the older images and this makes inserting the right images in the report difficult. I have tried to delete the images using the "delete" key and using the edit tab, but neither worked.

Thank you for your help

Dear username,

In general there should be no problem to delete the images in the "Views" tool via the DEL button or via right-click and use the entry to delete the saved views. In the documentation you could remove the images directly from the output pages by the page settings. Please see both screenshots below.

In case you will still not be able to delete the unused views, please be so kind to send us your problematic project file for further analysis. Please send us also a link to this thread. Our email address is support@dial.de.

I have no problems when deleting views taken directly on the program. I'm having problem when trying to delete .png and .jpg files imported to dialux. They don't show in the Construction -> Views tab, and can't be deleted on the documentation tab. They can be removed from documentations, but not deleted from the list of avaiable images, generating some confusion when a lot of old images stack up.

Dear username,

Yes, you're right. We will think about this behavior and will add this point as an improvement to our roadmap of evo.
