How to export the IFC file which an be available to EVO?

Post by dgjj45 » Sat Nov 11, 2017 9:48 am

Which software can open model built in SketchUp and export available IFC file?I use SketchUp Pro 2017 to export the IFC file, but evo syas "no building with valid geometry could be find".I try to use REVIT to open SketchUp's IFC file and export the IFC2x3 file, but EVO pops up the same error.Besides,I use REVIT2016 "import CAD" feature to import *.skp file into REVIT and export all types of the IFC file supported by REVIT,but EVO still pops up "no building with valid geometry could be find".

PS:My model built in SketchUp Pro 2017 is a whole plot model,is it too complex?

Dear dgjj45,

So far, we have only implemented a beta version of the IFC import in our evo software. Therefore, there may still be problems with the import attempt of some IFC files.

In our knowledge base you will find helpful information regarding the requirements of a good IFC import.
