Tilted calculation surfaces for stairs

Post by Stefano.Vegnuti » Wed Jan 24, 2018 6:33 pm

Hello!
I was checking out this old topic:
https://dxboard.dialux.com/viewtopic.ph ... irs#p96435
This looks neat, and yet time-consuming...maybe only suitable if one has only a repetitive staircase design.
In a different tutorial on YT, I watched an individual tilted surface placed right above each flight of stairs.

I was wondering if, in your opinion, such a surface (set to Horizontal Illuminance) could yield reliable results.
Are you planning to introduce tilted surfaces for stairs in upcoming release of DIALux?

Dear Stefano.Vegnuti,

Yes, such a surface will provide reliable results. You can already rotate your calculation surface to your needs when using the corresponding manipulator as it is shown in the screenshot below.
