Post by thomasfrench » Mon Apr 23, 2018 1:14 pm

Hello,

I would like to know what's the difference between mounting height and Height of the point of lighting? And with what height dialux calculation the illumination in the room?
I don't understand because sometimes I have one meter between mounting height and height of the point of lighting...

Thanks for your attention.

Hey thomasfrench,

-> Mounting height: distance from floor level to your luminaire
-> Light centre height: distance from your workplane to your luminaire

Little example:
Room height: 3,00m
Workplane height: 0,75m (for example desk height)
Luminaire is surface mounted

-> Mounting height: 3,00m
-> Light centre height: 2,25m ("Room height" - "Workplane height" = 3,00m - 0,75m)

Hope this answers your question ;)

Regards!
