Outdoor lighting in urban area

Post by Nastaran M » Mon Jun 11, 2018 11:18 am

I want to simulate an urban area with the street and surrounding buildings. Since it is not possible to model the buildings in the DIALux version related to street lighting, is the results acceptable and reliable if I calculate the parameters ( i.e. average luminance, illuminance, uniformity, etc.) on the surface the street without considering the road classes and only by changing the reflection factor of the floor element (the street)?

Hi Nastaran M,

If you want to carry out a normative road calculation, you have to choose the street lighting in our DIALux evo software. This is the only way to get normative results.

Kind regards,
