Exporting ifc file from Archicad

Post by MichelWestoll » Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:11 am

Hi,

I am a user of ArchiCAD (version 19). I would like to know what are the best settings to use to export the .pln to IFC to have the model imported into EVO? I am finding problems with this. I have already ready the reccomend ifc setting from Dial.

The first export I selected as export entire project, with conversion to reference model fo Revit. the result was that I had external boundary walls missing.
the second export i selected Entire project, with general conversion. the result was I had some openings missing (doors), and Solid element operations were ignored so which affect alot of elemant in the model. also all of my suspended ceilings.

both export were exported with the format IFC 2x3 (*.ifc)

I also found that the zones were not recognised and imported as "rooms". meaning that I have to spend alot of time changing all of this information.

thanks in advance
