Best practice for "painting" simple lines

Post by Sentinel » Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:34 pm

Hi

What is the best method/workflow to paint some lines on the floor? For example, let's say I would like to "paint" the outer white contour lines of a tennis court. Or white parking lines in a car park.

Thanks.

Hello Sentinel,

You can insert thin cubes or extrusion volumes which have the geometry of the lines. Then you will be able to use a required texture just for this area. If you click on the SHIFT key whilst drag&drop the colour to the cube, you will only get for this line the material. Maybe you can check it out.
If it is an outdoor scene, you could also work with floor elements.

Best regards,

Hi

Thanks.
I have used the methods you mentioned. Just thought that maybe there is even a better/simpler way. :)
