construction of a not-solid cone

Post by simplex » Wed Mar 25, 2015 5:18 pm

hey there

i would like to constuct a funnel but couldnt find any simple way to do that in dialux (i use version 4.11.0.2). thought about a cone but as long as its solid i cannot put a measuring point inside which i definitely need to do.

is there a way to define some curved area (like in radiance)?

i found a .m3d-file of a glas on the net in which someone put up a funnel-shaped object out of single elements.
tried to open that file to alter the angles to make that glas more narrow (and i also need to alter the transmission...) but i failed on opening that file somehow.

has someone of you an idea how i can solve my problem?

thank you very much

Dear simplex,

A .m3d or a .3ds model of a funnel seems to be the best solution for your problem.

Unfortunately we can't give you an advise, where you can find such a funnel in the internet.

Kind regards,
Your DIALux team
