False color shaded

Post by Aota » Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:50 am

Hi,

I am currently using DIALux 4.13 and am having a problem with false color rendering.
Sometimes the colors looks shaded compared to other surfaces in the same room.

I have attached an example image.
In this room, the colors on the walls are shown darker than on the floor. (Especially the white area.)

This happens quite often and it looks like my colleagues are having a same problem too.
I would really appreciate if anybody can tell me why this happens and whether it can be fixed.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Aota,

Thank you very much for your project file.
The behavior is caused by the false colour range. If you check the illuminances on the walls, then you will see that there are round about 500lx. So please use such a high value range between 0lx to 500lx for the false colours

Dear. Support Team,

Thank you very much for the reply.
(I have already replied to the email, but just in case...)

Unfortunately, it still occurs even when I re-set the range.
Although the other colors aren't as obvious as white, they still are shaded (dull? vague?).

How come they aren't shown in clear colors?

Sincerely,
Aota

I just found out that this happens when the Rho of the surface is too high.

Is there any ways to adjust so that it will show the same bright colors?
Or, do I have to just get used to it...

Dear Aota,

You can adjust the reflection factor directly in the tab “material” of the corresponding wall surface.
