Setup Problem Dialux 4.13.02

Post by eduardo_vidal » Tue Apr 17, 2018 11:03 am

Good afternoon.

I have been having a problem and could not solve myself even after researching the forum.
Installation for Dialux 4.13.02 crashes after it unzips, opens setup and i click 'continue" after choosing a installation folder.
After crashing I notice it had only installed the uninstall program.

Here is the error:

As I researched previous forum threads, I have already:
- Downloaded the setup file more than once
- Downloaded the setup file from other links i found on the forum, including ADMIN_SETP
- Erased all the remaining Dialux files before each attempt
- Run the unzipped setup file manually as ADM
- Stopped 3rd party and windows firewall and anti-virus
- Tried installing Dialux 7 and had the same problem

Here are the log lines with the PC configuration in the text (Windows 10.0.16299 in Portuguese)

Re: Setup Problem Dialux 4.13.02

Dear eduardo_vidal,

We are totally not sure why you get such serious problems. But it could be a problem that Windows has corrupted the DIALux permissions on your computer system with an update in the past. The only way to solve this problem is to manually delete all DIALux components that are still on your computer system after uninstalling DIALux 4.13.

In the following you will find a list what you must delete on your computer system that you hopefully can install our software product successfully on your computer system:

1. Uninstall everything completely: DIAlux 4, DIALux Communication Framework, DIAL Data Dispatcher (see attached screenshot)

Screenshot.jpg

2. Delete the program folders of DIALux 4 (C: \ Program Files (x86))
3. Delete also this folder (C: \ ProgramData \ DIAL GmbH, C: \ ProgramData \ DIALux)
4. And this folder (C: \ Users \ <username> \ AppData \ Local \ DIAL GmbH)

These are our default installation paths. If you have adjusted them, you will need to adjust the paths accordingly.

After this you should restart your computer once and then reinstall DIALux 4 once again. Please try to download and install the DIALux 4.13.0.2 setup once again by using the following link: https://b2b.dial.de/index.php/s/HePRxzOhXb6U5hG

If you do not feel confident enough, it's best to ask your administrator for help and, if necessary, make backup copies of the deleted folders on your desktop.

Some users informed us that this is a Windows problem with an update, it helped other users to reinstall the Windows operating system. Maybe you can try it out.

Best regards,
DIAL Support Team
