error when opening a dwg file

Post by Missy321 » Tue May 16, 2017 9:41 am

Hi,

I want to open a dwg file, but it only shows one item of the whole drawing.
I can open teh file in Autocad. I tried typing "Explode" and "all" and saved the file again as a 2010 autocad file. But this gave the same result.
I also opened it in DrafSight, Detached the error files, and saved it again, but still no succes.

I can open the file in Relux, but as I'm not used working with this, i prefer to make the calculation in DIALux evo.

Can someone help me?

Thanks.
Best regards,
Inge

Dear Inge,

We wonder if you could send us your DWG file for an analysis. Please send us also a link to this topic so that we can better assign the issue. Our email-address is support@dial.de.

Best regards,

Dear Inge,

We analyzed your problematic DWG file and determined that in your DWG file all objects are too far apart on all axes, so our evo software is not able to scale the DWG correctly.

In AutoCAD there is a function called “flatten”. Our developer think if you use this function in your DWG file you should be able to import it in evo without any problems.

Unfortunately we currently have no AutoCAD software available. Here is a helpful link of our DIALux knowledge base regarding import problems using DWG files.
