Post by mimargulcin » Tue May 05, 2020 4:00 am

Would you please direct me in Dialux 4.13 is there any feature that I can use to analyse the glare in Indoor spaces from the Daylight?

Hello mimargulcin,

The general workflow is to use an UGR surfacae or UGR calculation point to determine the values. Please see screenshot below.

thank for your answering
I wonder that UGR is used to determine glare caused by artificial lighting, not dayligtind EN 17037 DGP parameter. Their formula parameters and evaluating parameters are different and result of UGR cant be used to evaluate DGP. are there any differet setting can be used to determine glare caused by daylighting. especillay result will corrsponded to EN 17037 DGP evaluating parameters

thanks

such as UGR calculation depends on backround illuminance ,otherwise DGP depends on user's facade distnce e.g.
Such as UGR < 19 otherwise DGP <40

Hello mimargulcin,

Our DIALux software is suitable for the daylighting planning according to the standard CIE 110, but not according to prEN 17037:2016. As we are not familiar with this standard prEN 17037:2016, we do not know which differences are between both standards.

At the moment it is not possible to generate those daylighting results (DGP parameter) in DIALux 4.13 nor in evo 9.0 version.
But we will add your wish to our evo improvement list and will discuss this topic with our product owner. Up to now we are not able to tell you a date for an implementation.

Best regards,
DIAL Support Team
