polygonal calculation objects - rotation pointgrids X and Y

Hello,

If using a polygonal calculation object that is not rectangular shaped
and rotated other than 0 degrees, the pointgrid in X and Y direction
is mostly also rotated then.

See attached example.

So it depends on the shape of the calculation object how to
show the best grid in X and Y direction in the object.

Is it possible for a user to set this angle of the pointgrid
so that in these cases also the best total amount of points
in the grid can be showed?
And if not, could it be added to your list?

In the case of this example I would like to rotate
the grid so that the points in X direction should be
parallel to the long sides of the calculation object.

Hello AntoonB,

Unfortunately it is not possible to rotate the angle of the point grid so that the points are parallel to the long sides of the calculation object.
However, we will include this topic in our evo improvement list and will forward it to our product owners for prioritization.

Hello AntoonB,

You can try this workaround - change the coordinate system ("Set coordinate system" button) axis so that the long sides of the calculation object are 100% horizontal. Then delete the current calculation field and draw it again from scratch. Then you should get the points the way you want them.
