DIALUX crash import dwg

Post by LPP » Wed Sep 12, 2018 7:22 pm

Hello!!!

I use regular Dialux 4 and Evo, and i never don't have this problem.
I think that will be a problem witch any .dll but I can't resolve the problem.
My problem is that when I import a DWG file and inmediatly the system open de windows file explorer, Dialux cracks and force close.
Any with the same problem?
Any solution for this?
I uninstalled dialux and reinstall, but the same. The problem persist...

Dear LPP,

Ok, then please be so kind to send us one of the problematic DWG files for further analysis. Our email address is support@dial.de. It would be of help if you could send us also the link to this topic, so that we could better assign this issue.

Best regards,

Hi Csuleiman:

The problem is before selecting the DWG file. I do not have time to select the dwg file. Dialux fails and closes before it has time to select any file. I think that's when dialux opens the open Windows file dialog box. At this time, a Dialux lock occurs and you can see the error of the window in my first message of this thread.

For this reason, I think that sending a dialux file is not necessary because the problem is before selecting the dwg.

But, for example, if I want to import a luminaire file (IES or Eulumdat) I dont have problem. Dialux run fine. For the moment is only when I want use dialog import dwg/dxf file.

Thanks,

LPP

He:

I have installed and installed dialux EVO and dialux 4 and I have gone through the windows system repair tool and the same problem ...
Windows has no problems, run fine.
I suppose it is some wrong .dll or that it does not find ...

I'm desperate ...

Dear LPP,

Please try to uninstall all three DIALux programs from your system (see attached screenshot) and install our DIALux 4.13.0.2 version to your computer system by using the following setup. In this case all DIALux components will be newly registered.

Hi TMagenheimer:

I He has followed his instructions to the letter.
I have uninstalled all the components, including EVO just in case.
I have reinstalled the Dialux with the file you sent me.
The result remains the same.
The system is blocked when you open the windows file browser to find the file you want to import.
I do not know what to do now...

Hi LPP,

Unfortunately we cannot reproduce the crash and therefore have difficulties to offer you an adequate solution.

Maybe there is a file in your documents folder that crashes a DIALux file called "ShellExtension.dll". So, we would like to recommend you to clear out the documents folder and try to import a DWG file once again.
