Emergency lighting (Lightscenes)

Dear Dial support team,

I am working on a small project and use two light scenes.
One for normal lights and a second scene for a emergency light.

How can I set for each light scene a different Ë lx value?
(I use the emergency light even in the normal light scene)

Hello Kkellershohn,

Since you can only define one utilisation profile per workplane, you would need another workplane in the same room. To implement this, you would need to create a new space that is the size of the room. Then you would have a second workplane for which you can define another profile.

Just for your information:
In DIALux evo the emergency lighting is not yet implemented and we would not like to advise you to simply set all reflectance values to zero, as this procedure does not comply with the DIN EN 1838 standard.

After a new reading of the standard, the designer can take the first reflection into account. In evo it is indeed possible to calculate "only directly", but neither this way nor 0% reflectance would be a solution. In this case, a corresponding calculation procedure must first be implemented in evo.

Furthermore it is not possible in evo to create the output of a "real" escape route or an anti-panic surface. It is explicitly required to keep 1lx on the centerline and 0.5lx on half width. These results are not available in evo.

Many products of our partners (especially English manufacturers) have (had) luminaires with emergency lighting LEOs in the plug-ins. These are only used if an emergency lighting scene is available. In evo you cannot "switch on" these. So you cannot use the luminaires with emergency lighting equipment.

For this reason, we can only recommend to calculate the emergency lighting in DIALux 4.13.

For the evo 10, the implementation of the emergency lighting is fixed. Our colleagues are already working on the exact implementation.

Best regards,
DIAL Support Team

Dear Csuleiman,

Thank you for the help and the information.
I will keep that in mind.
