Touching rooms

Post by rbw2 » Tue Jun 08, 2021 12:09 pm

Could I please check my understanding of how Dialux Evo works with respect to rooms adjacent to other rooms?

It seems that it’s not possible to have room contours touching, so in this instance is the correct way to join areas to use a cutout? Example is showing two rooms I would like to join, but not via door.

Hello rbw2,

If you create rooms next to each other, the rooms are always separated by an inner contour. In reality there would also always be walls to the adjacent rooms. To implement your plan, you can use the cutout function as you have described yourself. Or you can create a large room directly and insert individual spaces that are defined separately from each other.
