confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
I have a small challenge with the result value of the uniformity Emin/Em (Uo) in various calculations in Dialux EVO.
I have often noticed that DIALUX Evo gives strange "Emin/Em (Uo)" values for me. values in some evaluations - mostly of simple room geometries with simple illumination.
The values just seem wrong there from practical experience.... It is relatively easy to stumble over them = due to the colorfulness in the result view. Had there already values like 0.02
For comparison, I checked the other **LUX program and here it seems to be okay. I wonder now what I'm doing wrong because I do not believe that EVO can have such a kind of quirk.
Have now just again a very simple W: 5 m x L: 12 m x H: 2.80 m room raised, the evaluation area with office (data processing) defined and the automatic (automatic arrangement for the areas) asked to determine the result.
Result = 500 lux are reached but Emin/Em (Uo) = 0,17
Is this known, is there something to consider or another solution?
Glad about feedback

Hello greeniusOne,
Please provide us with the evo project file so that we can check the behaviour. It would be of help if you could send us the link to this topic so that we could better assign this issue. Our email address is 'Support@dialux.com'.

Same here. Basic geometry cannot verify Emin/Em.

Hello achille89,
We have looked at your project, but cannot detect any problems with uniformity. In the rooms where luminaires have been inserted, plausible results are also output. Please send us some explanatory screenshots that describe the problem in more detail. Our email address is support@dialux.com.

Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
rooms like ufficio 2, ufficio 3 never get Emin/em >0,6. Nothing changes if i put a lot of lamps in the room. With dialux evo 10 i've never had this issue

Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
Hello achille89,
Uniformity in the rooms concerned depends on the minimum illuminance found in the corners around the beam. In this case, you could either position more luminaires that illuminate exactly the corners or increase the wall zone of the working plane so that the beam is left out.

Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
even with 10 luminaries in one room nothing changes
Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
Have you enlarged the wall zone of the working plane?
Since, for example, the room "Office 2" has a lot of corners due to the room construction, the minimum value of the illuminance decreases. This also reduces the uniformity. So you can either enlarge the wall zone here of the workplane or insert more luminaires as you have already tried unsuccessfully.

Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
I've been using dialux evo from version 8 and i've never had this issue. Can you do some test yourself on my file? thanks
Re: confusing Emin/Em (Uo)
Then we need an older evo project for comparison (10.1 or older) that is structured exactly like the project you have already uploaded. Only then can we compare whether the calculation results of the uniformity have changed between the versions.
